A solidification of identity.
This body of work explores the subtle ways people define themselves through gesture, clothing, posture, and adornment. Using cropped compositions, repetition, and saturated fields of color, the paintings examine identity as something gradually absorbed through social behavior and performance.
The figures exist in moments of self-expression — where personal identity becomes constructed through repeated acts of presentation.
Rather than portraying individuals, these works focus on fragments of behavior and appearance that reveal how identity can slowly harden into instinct, image, and ritual.
