No Smoking, 2025

Here one of our subjects are smoking, and in what might be another reality, he is not. The cigarette and the mouth on the lower figure was removed obviously and unrealistically. The orbs in the piece look like something out of a sci-fy. There are irregular and misshapen glasses on his face as well as noise in the background that seems to be a Disney cartoon upside down and faded. The whole thing feels like a dream that spans time, youth and aging. Which version of you do you want to be? Along the journey of life’s path, we get to choose.

Hard lines. Soft features. A sailor masculine, scribbled in pencil, wearing someone else’s eyes and lips borrowed from a a girl in a fashion magazine. This one’s about control and identity and in the human experience.

Part of my, Elegance of Dissonance collection.
