Oh Man, Cindy, 2025
Part man, part woman, part abstraction. The piece is in blue representing sadness. She’s cute and young, looking at the viewer with energy and youthful beauty, yet the top of her head is that of a gentlemen which suggests she has a secret. Not fully able to be who she feels inside because of familial and social pressure she resorts to her traditional gender identity. The abstraction running through the middle of her face further suggest she’s wearing a mask.

Hard lines. Soft features. A sailor masculine, scribbled in pencil, wearing someone else’s eyes and lips borrowed from a a girl in a fashion magazine. This one’s about control and identity and in the human experience.
Part of my, Elegance of Dissonance collection.
