She Sergeant, 2025

It’s war, our subjects are in uniform. The man is erect and at attention, the woman is a little more at ease and engaged in something other than him. He appears ready to do anything she says. She is in front of him and slightly bigger furthering the sentiment. In a predominantly masculine driven hierarchy, here a woman stands proud. The piece explores traditionally accepted ideologies and the viewers relationship to the subject matter.

Hard lines. Soft features. A sailor masculine, scribbled in pencil, wearing someone else’s eyes and lips borrowed from a a girl in a fashion magazine. This one’s about control and identity and in the human experience.

Part of my, Elegance of Dissonance collection.
