Your Shadow, (Diptych) 2025
Our subject submerged in the silence under water, is being followed by her “Shadow”. You’re alone in the water, senses turned on as you feel the water rush past, but you are with yourself. The “Shadow”, from Jungian psychology refers to the unconscious parts of ourselves we repress—our hidden fears, flaws, traumas, and desires, often seen as negative, but also containing potential strengths like creativity and compassion. “Shadow Work”, involves acknowledging, integrating, and making peace with these hidden aspects to achieve wholeness, authenticity, and deeper spiritual growth, moving beyond superficial "light-only" approaches to truly embody spiritual maturity.
