Commodified Eden, 2025
This flower child, adorned with nature represents a oneness with the planet. She’s blue, enveloped in sadness as she watches deregulation of laws meant to protect the environment, as corporate greed takes over. She is the ocean, she is the earth. She directly front facing looking at the viewer as to confront the situation, yet frozen and helpless as many feel. Even the style that is recognized as pop art, speaks to the complexities of the culture nuances that have taken us so far away from nature, and being on with it.

Hard lines. Soft features. A sailor masculine, scribbled in pencil, wearing someone else’s eyes and lips borrowed from a a girl in a fashion magazine. This one’s about control and identity and in the human experience.
Part of my, Elegance of Dissonance collection.
